Grad Highlight: Shane [By Craig]

Shane graduated from the program in September of 2020. He immediately moved to the Rockside Workforce house in Rapid City, SD where he began working in a registered apprenticeship program with our friends at Loyal Plumbing.

We visited Shane in April and were amazed to see his progress. He is now running service calls by himself and he has his own company van. His boss, Mark Falcon, told us that Shane is one of his best employees and is already training other employees.

While we were there, we joined Shane at a Bible study that he attends on Wednesdays and a small group that he attends on Thursdays. It was so encouraging to see how he has been embraced by the community in Rapid City and to see him forming strong and healthy friendships.

Shane has worked incredibly hard to get to where he is today. He continues to say how grateful he is for the opportunity to have a fresh start. Because of your partnership, Shane has safe housing, reliable employment, and loving community. Thank you!
